One of the best things about the time we live in is that almost anything you need can be found online and often arrive on your doorstep the next day. However, the downside of online is that if you want to buy a product based on its taste or smell, it's impossible to know for sure if you'll actually like it until it physically arrives. We have therefore decided to provide you with a guide to the Isadora fragrances, to try and make it easier when choosing your homeware products from us.
Scent throw is a really important consideration when choosing a fragrance; if the fragrance is too subtle and delicate then it can get lost in a large room, but if it is too strong and overpowering then you won't want to put it in a small room. The number of reeds you use in our reed diffusers also dictate how far the scent throw will go - generally the more you use, the further it will carry.
Our recommendations for smaller rooms like bathrooms and downstairs loos are the following fragrances:
Earl Grey & Cucumber - Easily our most popular fragrance so far; it is sweet and delicate, provoking memories of summer days in the garden with afternoon tea. Notes of bergamot lead into undertones of jasmine, citrus and cucumber.
Wild Fig & Cassis - An old classic with top notes of cassis, cherry & fig. Middle notes of hyacinth give way to amber and jasmine. Think of Mediterranean holidays and fragrant fruits.
Honeysuckle & Elderflower - If you love anything with elderflower, then this one's for you. Sweet and beautiful like English hedgerows blooming in spring, this is a luscious floral fragrance unfolding with undertones of mandarin, amber and vanilla.
Rose & Patchouli - Floral and perfumey, this one is contains gorgeous notes of plum, rose and jasmine, followed by cassis and dark fruits. If you like Chanel lipstick & bouquets of flowers then you'll love this one.
Our recommendations for larger rooms like living areas, lounges, and hallways are the following fragrances:
Pear & Freesia - Notes of quince and pear are featured, surrounded by freesia and climbing rose. A strong, fruity fragrance that carries well but isn't too sweet.
Grapefruit Luxe - Another hugely popular fragrance, and one of our personal favourites. It does what it says on the tin. The most gorgeous, strong, natural, fragrance with juicy top notes of grapefruit and tangerine, followed by rosemary, mint and jasmine.
Amber & Clementine - Velvet amber and incense are heightened with sweet clementine. Similar to the citrus notes of the Grapefruit Luxe, but with earthy and spicy undertones. It sometimes smells a little bit like Christmas, and is great if you want something not so sweet but still fruity.
Velvet Orchid - An oriental floral fragrance lavished with notes of cool citrus, honey and petals. This one has a delicate scent, but it's good at cutting through large rooms. Expect to smell it in waves and each time you'll get something slightly different. It's for those of us who love sweet floral perfumes that smell unique.
Blueberry & Jasmine - Sweet, sweet, sweet; you'll want to eat blueberry pie after smelling this fragrance. It's a floral bouquet of blueberry and violets, giving way to notes of patchouli and sweet vanilla. If deliciously summery sweetness is what you want then you won't be disappointed.
Lavender & Chamomile - Like French fields and lavender soap. Another old classic, but this time with a twist. The lavender gives way to a refreshing blend of eucalyptus, chamomile and lime top notes. If you want something that cuts through the room and provides a fresh, even scent then this is the one for you.
